Hello,
I am an Associate Professor in Business Ethics at Trinity College Dublin within the Trinity Business School. I moved to Dublin from Los Angeles in 2019, after completing both a doctorate in Philosophy and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California. I was raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
My work is centered primarily within business ethics, but I research on a range of cross-disciplinary topics including corporate personhood, the nature of causation, financial ethics, ontic vagueness, and strategic management. At its core, my work leverages theoretical advances within metaphysics and the philosophy of action to contribute to thought about corporations and the corporate world. Occasionally, I attempt to make those advances myself.
